Patagonia offers excellent opportunities for trout and salmon sport fishing. The season extends from mid November until the end of April. The conditions are outstanding - clear water with low temperatures, natural food availability, excellent conditions for spawning and stable river beds. The principle species are Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Atlantic Salmon, King Salmon and Silver Salmon. There is also outstanding fishing on the Paraná river in Argentina's sub-tropical north east, where the Dorado is the fish of choice. |
